Step by Step Guide #

  1. You can quickly add electronic signing capability to any document, including uploaded PDFs. This includes adding new signatories.
Create or edit a custom e-signatory page from the SnipTexts area.

2. We’ll add two signing blocks to this blank annexure. One signatory that already exists in the form and a completely new one.

Edit Form screen shows the form ready for custom signatory pages.

3. Click on the options (⋮) button next to the relevant document and select ‘Set up e-Signing’.

Details panel shows annexures and files available for the form.

4. This is where you add signatories. On the right is the document itself, on the left is where you select the signatory and what items of the signature block you’d like to add.

Signatory page section shows existing signing tabs and available customisation options.

5. First, click here to select the signatory. Here we’ll choose Client 1.

Upload document window is available for adding a custom signatory page file.

6. With ‘Client 1’ listed above, we can add these parts of the signature block to the document by clicking them and then moving and resizing them.

Add signatory page screen shows signatory roles available for selection.

7. We’ll start by clicking ‘Print Name’ to ensure the signatory’s name is displayed.

Select signatory roles to assign fields on the custom page.

8. This adds a ‘Print Name’ box on the document which can be moved and resized.

Selected signatory roles appear in the left panel for field placement.

9. Add a Signature field by clicking on it.

Initials field is available to place on the custom signatory page.

10. Reposition or resize as necessary.

Signature field is available to place on the custom signatory page.

11. Add a date field so the signing date will be automatically recorded during e-signing.

Date signed field is available to place on the custom signatory page.

12. Lets now add a new signatory, one not yet connected to this form, by clicking ‘+ Add a Signatory’.

Placed signing fields appear on the custom signatory page preview.

13. Enter the role and if you have them, name and contact details (these can always be added before signing if you don’t have them now).

Field settings panel opens to edit a selected signing field.

14. We’ve added ‘New Person’ and click ‘Add’ to save.

Text field settings are available to customise label, placeholder and requirements.

15. ‘New Person’ is now showing in the role dropdown, so we’ll add the signature block as we did before. Notice how this signatory has a different colour to the previous one, which helps us manage more complicated builds.

Updated signing fields appear on the custom signatory page preview.

16. Once done, click ‘Save’.

Completed custom signatory page is ready to save.

17. We’ll now mark the document as ‘Ready for signing’ to see that the new signatory has been added to the normal electronic signing process.

Form Options menu includes actions for managing the form and signing process.

18. Confirm it is ‘Yes, it’s ready for signing’.

Signing request confirmation window appears before sending for electronic signing.

19. Click ‘Electronic signing’ to begin the digital signature process for your form.

Form editor shows the signing process has started.

20. Our ‘New Person’ signatory has been added below the form’s default signatories and will go through the same signing process as them.

Signing details window shows recipient information for the electronic signing request.
