SnipText

Learn how to use SnipText to create a library of reusable text that you can quickly paste into forms so you don’t need to type it every time. You can create a SnipText for your own use only, or open it up for everyone in your Realworks subscription to use.

Step by Step Guide #

  1. A SnipText is a reusable string of text that can be quickly copied and pasted into any form.

2. Navigate to SnipTexts to create and manage available text snippets.

3. This page shows all existing SnipTexts.

You can filter by Name, Category and Type (personal use only or org wide use).

4. Click on the Add SnipText button to create a new one.

5. Choose the form category from the dropdown if the SnipText is relevant to only one category.

6. Make it available across all forms by selecting ‘All Categories”.

7. It can be exclusive to you or make it available to the whole organisation.

8. Enter a descriptive title for your SnipText to easily identify it later.

9. Input or paste the text extract you want to save as a SnipText.

10. Click Save to add your newly created SnipText to the list.

11. The new SnipText is now showing, access the more options menu to edit or manage it.

12. The options are edit, archive (make inactive but available for future use), or delete permanently.

13. Lets add the new SnipText to a form, so we’ll open the form edit screen.

14. Click the SnipTexts button in the top left of the panel.

15. All available Sniptexts are shown in the side bar. This is where choosing form category during set up can be handy, as if every SnipText is made available to all categories, this list can become very long.

16. Use the search bar to quickly find what you’re looking for if you need.

17. Click the button to copy the SnipText.

18. Place your cursor in the spot you want to insert the SnipText.

Either right click and choose paste or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V.

19. Your SnipText is added.
